- The plot, direction, and visuals here totally defeat
everything good the film.
Fabled
- Is an oh-so cool and hip, MTV-styled, glossy film
that is much more about style than substance…
The
Faculty - Enough half-naked cute teenagers running
around like crazy to keep us into the film.
Fahrenheit
9/11 - Moore becomes nothing less than the greatest
orator on the nature of freedom since Thomas Payne,
and the greatest writer on the subject of war since
George Orwell.
Fall
to Grace - Yes, this is a great story. Yes, there
is a great script and a great cast to bring it to life.
The cinematography is top-notch; the music is great;
and the editing is nearly perfect.
Family Fundamentals
- The subject matter is so tired and reflected so much
better in other documentaries.
Family
Farm - May have a lot of information in it, but
it includes most of it by its unfocused, meandering
approach to telling its story.
The
Family Stone - Sometimes even a film that sucks
very hard has one moment of beauty in it.
A
Family Thing - Simply states the facts and allows
us to make up our own minds.
Fantastic
4 - Lackluster and irritating, the film isn't even
good ol' fluffy popcorn fun.
The
Fantasticks - Where is the audience for this film?
Far
From Heaven - This film is, simply put, one of the
very best you will ever see.
Fargo
- The plot of the film revolves around the Made-for-TV
premise.
Fashions
- Spring 1996 - We find ourselves amused and intrigued.
Fear
and Loathing in Las Vegas - The film is humorous
quite often. It's just not enough to save the work.
Felicia's
Journey - Imagine
if you built a million dollar mansion and then put a
flimsy tarp over it for the roof. That's what Atom Egoyan
does with "Felicia's Journey."
Female
Trouble -
Waters' first film with a real linear storyline and
he sets the film to span over 14 years from 1960 into
(and beyond?) 1974.
15
Minute Tape
- Will evoke an hour of discussion
if you see it with a friend. That is, if you can sit
through it.
Fight
Club - is the first film in a long time which seems
to have the possibility of being able to change the
world. It's dead set on a course for all out chaos and
anarchy. You can feel the excitement. You can experience
the adrenaline rush of testosterone straight to your
heart. You can see the coming of the savior of the millennium.
The
Filth and the Fury - Tells
the story of the Pistols in a rather typical and chronological
narrative arrangement.
Final
Destination - It's a good idea and filmmaker James
Wong, does his absolute best to eek the most possibilities
out of it.
Finding
Nemo - Without a doubt, the weakest Pixar film yet.
Finding
Neverland - Does have a wonderful message and a
good-heartedness that makes it worth while.
5x2 - A
movie about a woman who seemingly likes to be date raped
and the asshole that she marries.
The
Five Obstructions - Perhaps the most pointless,
insipid, frustrating, egotistical and pedantic film
ever made.
5
Sides of a Coin - Covers a lot about Hip Hop music
and culture in its short 70 minute run time.
The
Flight of the Phoenix - An engrossing and likeable
film with moments of extreme drama, human comedy and
heartwarming inspiration.
Flirt
- Once again finds Hartley doing what he does best.
Fluff
- At least the film has a wonderfully "gay" sensibility
and is hardly ever really offensive.
The
Fluffer - Perhaps the best gay themed drama of this
or any other year.
The
Fog of War - The most intense and yet flattering
verison of a documentary subject since 1993 and Ray
Muller's amazing yet faulty "The Wonderful, Horrible
Life of Leni Riefenstahl."
Food
of Love - If this movie be the food of love... then
it's a bit bitter and hard to swallow.
Forbidden
Games - Odd yet subdued, perverse yet sweet, joyous
yet sorrowful, Rene Clement's "Forbidden Games" is a
complex film that deals with a complex subject: Death.
The
Forgotten - If you try and really think about this
film's plot at the end, you'll see there are more holes
here then in a pound of that proverbial Swiss cheese.
The
40 Year Old Virgin - This is a film as jammed with
sexual related humor as any teen sex pic.
The
Fountainhead - One of the strangest movies ever
lensed.
Four
Brothers - A coolness that underscores an interesting
character study.
