South
by Southwest 2004 - Day 9 - Saturday March 20, 2004
Last day of SXSW 2004 and I didn't see a thing. Christian
and I were supposed to see "Azumi" at 7 but he never called
me and I went home and napped. I am just beat. I got up
around 9 and looked at the SXSW program for a last film
and had almost decided on going to see "Bush's Brain"
when I remembered how crowded "The Revolution will be
Televised" was on the last night of SXSW lat year. All
the college kids are getting back from Spring Break and
the anti- war and anti-Bush vibe in Austin is stronger
than ever.
Sometimes working on the website starts seeming
more like a job than like fun. I appreciate the fact
that SXSW hooked me up as press this year but going
to see a film tonight felt like "have to" instead of
"want to," so I didn't go.
It will be after summer probably before I do another
fest. Maybe Agliff in August. I need at least that much
time to recuperate after this film festival. For some
reason this year, it just wore me out.
