Austin
Gay and Lesbian Film Festival 2005 - Film Reviews
Everyone
- Fletcher doesn't just steal this movie (as his character
is designed to do), he fucking owns it.
That
Man: Peter Berlin - The ultimate primer on the man
and his myth.
The
Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green - Unfabulous
isn't really a word but that's okay because this really
isn't a movie.
29th
and Gay - What does utterly fail the film is its director
and editor.
Gay Sex in the
70's - These archives in the film bring us as close
as we are likely to ever get to the subject matter.
Hellbent
- I can't believe how much I loved this movie.
Twist
- Exactly the most typical thing you would expect and
the result is a humdrum and cliched film that bores you
throughout.
Loggerheads
- Slowly evolves and begins to sink its hooks into you.
Cycles
of Porn - This isn't a film about gay, naked bicycle
riders but I wish to God it was.
Wilby
Wonderful - This movie may be a lot of things, but
one thing it never now or will be is wonderful.
Liberty
in Restraint - Filmmaker Michael Ney thinks he is
making great art but, unlike Graydon, he is not.
Shem
- Here's the best way to see this film. Buy the DVD
and play it with the sound off. You won't miss anything
worth experiencing.
The
Wind, in the Evening - It takes a long time to get
into this Italian movie. And I mean a long time. Like
an hour.
Dorian
Blues - Is sort of the "kitchen sink" version of
a gay film.
Adam
and Steve - I giggled so much I thought I was gonna
shit.
Summer
Storm - Smart, witty, sweet and, for all its drama
related to coming out, fresh and unique.
eXposed:
The Making of a Legend - We learn a lot about the
porn business.
